RHL currently have an interesting, exciting opportunity for a CTO - Chief Technology Officer with our client, a market leading European b2b E-Commerce Group with ambitious growth plans.

There is flexibility on location for this role, you can be based anywhere in the UK but will be required to work in the Gloucester office 2-3 days a week.

The Role:

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible in assisting the Group and its companies by developing and implementing their technology.

As an E-Commerce group, web is king and the first priority is looking at the platforms across the Group with a view to making changes....whatever they may be!

You will lead on a number of projects, both big and small, and in the short term you will be expected to be both hands on and strategic. You will be software developing, as well as looking at the future architecture.

Assembling a team of developers will also be on the agenda over time once you have shaped the technology agenda across the group and have a clear road map of what needs to be done and when.

Experience Required:

You will have a strong background in software development (PHP etc), architecture and solid project management experience.

An expert in your field, you keep up to date with the latest trends in technology and are passionate about all things tech. The idea of working at pace in an entrepreneurial environment excites you as does the blend of tactical vs strategic.

You may have implemented an international platform in an E-Commerce environment before and will be familiar with software solutions such as Magento or Spryker.

Fluent in English (German speaking is an added bonus), you can be based anywhere however flexible to travel in UK and Europe at short notice and be based in the Gloucester offices approx. 2-3 days a week.
