Sewell Wallis are delighted to be supporting a forward thinking and fast paced organisation based in central London with their search for a new Group CFO. Our client operate within a niche and highly interesting area of business and are looking to expand and grow significantly over the next few years.

Due to various acquisitions and periods of growth, they have created this new role of Group CFO to support and challenge the business and its future requirements, focusing on two key divisions within the group. The business are looking to go through an IPO as soon as possible, therefore someone with experience of this would be an ideal candidate.

You will ideally be a qualified accountant from a public company with a strong background within M&A, whilst still being hands on enough with technical accounting requirements. You will be commercially strong with an entrepreneurial approach and a track record of taking businesses to the next level through your excellent commercial acumen.

Reporting to the CEO your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Developing a new finance function to support you as required, including a new Finance Director to look after the more day to day function for you
  • Managing the financial operations of the group, across multiple business lines
  • Managed the Group's budgeting and financial forecasting processes
  • Participate in key business decision making by contributing commercial analytical results
  • Implementation of market-leading data strategy to ensure that the Group maximises it's financial and non-financial KPI's, transforming data into meaningful decision making
  • Oversee financial due diligence
  • Implementing financial control frameworks and improving current processes
  • Dealing with interesting financial parties
  • Dealing with investors and senior stakeholders on a daily basis
  • Direct involvement on transaction and corporate development related activities including supporting the company through a potential listing on the stock exchange
