We are seeking a talented and ambitious governance professional with our CARE values at heart to support the delivery of excellent corporate governance services. You will be part of a team that works alongside the most senior members of the Trust, including the Council of Governors and Board of Directors. As a senior member of the Corporate Governance team you will oversee a broad portfolio of corporate governance responsibilities. Working with the Head of Corporate Affairs/Trust Secretary you will ensure the highest standards of support and advice are provided to the Foundation Trust Council, Boards and Committees.

You will be educated to degree level and have governance experience in the NHS or charity sector, along with specialist training and qualification in corporate governance field. Excellent IT, written and organisational skills and a proven ability to develop close working relationships at an executive level are essential.

NHS Trust is looking to recruit an exceptional person to support the Trust Clinical Governance Teams, through a leading by example' approach. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-moving environment, and who has the skills and temperament to work in a collaborative manner across a wide range of both internal and external services.

The post holder will be an integral member of the Local Services Clinical Governance team, supporting the Trust and Local Services Clinical Service Lines roles regarding patient safety and clinical assurance, serious incident investigations and associated learning, specialist clinical governance oversight and contributing to delivering the Trust-wide clinical governance agenda.

The post holder will provide senior specialist clinical quality and patient safety advice and will lead on safety related activities as well as playing a key role in providing clinical quality advice and support to the Clinical Service Line Clinical Directors, ensuring a seamless quality response for the areas that they oversee.

The role will be to support the Clinical Directors and Local Services Governance Leads to discharge their responsibilities in the coordination of quality related issues, quality assurance and meeting the required statutory and mandatory quality and governance requirements.

As a Clinical Quality and Patient Safety Manager, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team, delivering an effective and efficient quality function for West London NHS Trust.

The role involves wide-ranging collaboration with both internal and external colleagues, as well as healthcare partners across the system. The role requires analysis and interpretation of complex quality information, both quantitative and qualitative and contribution to devising strategies and approaches to resolve issues.

The post holder will both contribute to, and lead, on the development of quality and safety reports for regular and ad hoc meetings. They will also advise the Clinical Directors, Local Services Governance Leads and other Trust staff on safety issues and wider clinical quality issues.

To support the organisation in the identification and development of performance and financial improvement opportunities, challenge and hone these opportunities into robust projects through an established governance process and supporting the implementation of those projects to achieve the improvement goals.
