As Head of Marketing and Communications you will be responsible for the creation and implementation of the strategy for the marketing and communications functions, ensuring they are delivered in a tactical, creative and cost-effective way for this national business with offices in Chorley and Carlisle.Client Details

Description

The Head of Marketing and Communications will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead and manage a team to provide a full marketing service to the business that maximises profits through the development of Sales and Marketing strategies that match customer
  • Monitor activity of market competitors and proactively pitch creative ideas to the regional sales teams, overseeing and developing marketing campaigns with specific objectives across different channels
  • Work alongside the wider sales management team to ensure all marketing campaigns have full regional support and strong call to action
  • Deliver brand guidelines, creative advertising and sales collateral to generate the appropriate type and number of visitors and enquiries to our sales teams to convert into sales to meet our business plan
  • Manage key relationships with external partners/agencies, service providers and consultants to maximise opportunities, brand awareness ensure maximum value to the business at the best rate possible
  • Act as a central point of contact and stakeholder manager on all aspects of marketing within the business
  • Deliver consistent and transparent reporting to the business to ensure effective ROI, measuring all activity to demonstrate continued improvement
  • Protect and maintain brand standards to ensure consistency across the group

Profile

The successful Head of Marketing and Communications will have the following experience:

  • Excellent management, motivational and communication skills
  • Ability to influence and negotiate at a senior level
  • Commercially astute
  • Excellent written skills along with a high level of attention to detail
  • Creative and innovative in marketing and communication approaches
  • Evidence of strong interpersonal skills and team building skills
  • Ability to build strong business relationships to development positive business development networks both internally and externally
  • Ambitious, self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Strong pragmatic team player with a can do attitude to problem solving and removing barriers
  • Highly organised and able to cope with multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Experience working in a fast paced marketing and communications environment, preferably in house building
  • Proven ability to develop and successfully deliver marketing strategies to maximise ROI
  • A good working knowledge of all online systems including social media platforms. Proven ability to provide transparent monthly reporting on ROI, including action planning.
