At the start of this year, The Pensions Advisory Service (TPAS), Pension Wise and the Money Advice Service (MAS), joined forces to form one new organisation.  The new body is sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions and engages closely with H.M. Treasury, offering money and pensions guidance as well as debt advice to ensure that people have access to the important information, they need to make informed financial decisions. 

We are now looking for a new Chief Executive who will be responsible for working in partnership with an excellent Board, Chaired by Hector Sants, to provide the vision, direction and leadership in the formulation and achievement of MaPS strategies and objectives. This will include ensuring the appropriate business planning, risk management, financial controls, business and people strategies and delivery assurance are in place to develop and maintain MaPS and provide a first-class service. 

Our new Chief Executive will have a successful track record in building lasting relationships – navigating a complex stakeholder environment will be crucial.  We need an inspirational leader who can demonstrate experience of taking people with them on a journey of transformational change and be a champion of diversity.  This is a highly complex environment and in order to be successful our new Chief Executive will need to be intellectually agile, bringing technical expertise in at least one area of our business areas (e.g. financial capability, debt advice and pensions) and will need to have a track record of delivering operational excellence.  Resilience as a leader through all of this will be crucial.
