About Our Client
The Merchant Taylors' Company is one of the City of London's Great Twelve Livery Companies. It is incorporated by Royal Charter dating from 1327 and has its roots in fraternity, tailoring and trade. It is now a major not-for-profit and membership organisation, providing a vibrant social programme for over a thousand members; governance in schools; charitable grant-making and an almshouse charity. It holds investment and property portfolios and has its own Catering Company.
The Finance Director is a senior appointment who works with the Clerk (CEO equivalent) to support the Court in the discharge of its financial and statutory responsibilities.
The Finance Director has a strategic role to support the Clerk, the Court and its subordinate committees by ensuring accurate financial planning and support to enable the Company's strategic plans. She/he is responsible for the financial management and administration of the Company's activities, including its Catering Company and its charities, in accordance with all relevant regulations, legislation, custom and best practice.
The Successful Applicant
The Merchant Taylors' Company is looking for a CCAB qualified finance professional with significant post qualification experience covering a broad range of accounting skills and a proven track record of successful leadership in a senior financial role in a commercial, charitable or professional organistion.
