Our client is a specialist SME within the Life Sciences industry. Who receive continued investment in their ground-breaking technology that will change the lives of many people. To support their growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Director experienced within a start up environment.

This new position is a critical role and you will be a member of the senior management team, supporting the CEO with responsibility for one member of staff. Duties will include

Currently based on the south coast they are relocating to Milton Park.

- Overall responsibility for the financial management, cost control and cash management of the company
- As the company expands, you will implement new systems, processes and controls, including KPI reporting to maintain an effective finance function
- You will provide key business appraisals and financial advice for investment and commercial opportunities
- Management of all accounting operations, coordinating the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and finance packs for board meetings
- You will lead the company relationship with lawyers, insurers, tax authorities and other external parties to ensure that all legal obligations are met and the company's risks are effectively managed
- Develop business processes and accounting policies, systems and monitor/strengthen internal controls
- Develop and oversee the company's financial strategy and provide strategic financial advice and proposals to the CEO, Senior Management Team and the Board.
- Manage supplier agreements, leases, licences, contractual agreements including grant funding
