To support their growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Director experienced within a start up environment.

This new position is a critical role and you will be a member of the senior management team, supporting the CEO with responsibility for one member of staff. Duties will include

• Overall responsibility for the financial management, cost control and cash management of the company
• As the company expands, you will implement new systems, processes and controls, including KPI reporting to maintain an effective finance function
• You will provide key business appraisals and financial advice for investment and commercial opportunities
• Management of all accounting operations, coordinating the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and report variances.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and finance packs for board meetings
• You will lead the company relationship with lawyers, insurers, tax authorities and other external parties to ensure that all legal obligations are met and the company's risks are effectively managed
• Develop business processes and accounting policies, systems and monitor/strengthen internal controls
• Develop and oversee the company's financial strategy and provide strategic financial advice and proposals to the CEO, Senior Management Team and the Board.
• Manage supplier agreements, leases, licences, contractual agreements including grant funding
