We are working with a fast growing, listed hospitality business, well-known for its brand appeal and solid investor backing. The business primarily owns its properties and is expanding across the UK and EMEA. We are delighted to support the Board in hiring an experienced lawyer with a strong background in Commercial Real Estate/Construction and Commercial Contracts.Experience in Franchising would also be useful. As sole Head of Legal, you will help build and shape the legal function and work across all commercial contracts, property, litigation, shareholder and investor matters, advising the Board directly and reporting into the CFO. Some company secretarial experience could be useful, although there is a CoSec in place already.

The successful candidate should have prior in-house experience, ideally within a relevant industry eg. retail or hospitality. You will be commercially astute, organised and robust. You will have the enthusiasm and proactive approach to thrive in this visible role leading the legal function, taking responsibility and ownership and focussing on the resolution of legal issues rather than just giving an opinion. You will enjoy working with young and professionally sophisticated stakeholders within a respectful, fun and high achieving culture and playing a significant part in the success and growth of the business!
