Axon Moore's client is an award-winning tech business based in Cheshire. A privately owned, sub £20m t/o SME, they have a highly desirable blue chip client base, a strong leadership team, and a clear vision for growth and development of the business.

This role reports directly into the CEO working closely with Chairman and Primary Investors, as well as the wider Senior Management Team to drive the business' growth and profitability. You will be leading a small but capable team so you'll have a genuine interest in leadership, management and team development. As well as overseeing the day to day running of Finance, you will also support corporate governance, and provide structure for the continued growth of the business.

To be considered for the role you must be highly commercial and enjoy operating as a true business partner. You will support the wider organisation in understanding how they can maximise profitability on a customer by customer and contract by contract basis, driving a culture of best practice and change where necessary across the business.

The FD will:

  • Contribute strategically by helping understand which sectors/verticals have growth opportunities and threats, and how these can be mitigated or taken advantage of.
  • Discern what KPIs matter, drive growth and provide focus for business objectives.
  • Have a true grasp of "past, present, future" informing business strategy, and helping to deal with the unexpected that comes with being a fast-paced and growing Tech SME.

People are key to the business and thus, outstanding interpersonal skills are required as well a genuine desire and interest in seeing your team develop under your guidance.
