The Opportunity

Following an accelerated period of both organic and acquisitional growth, my client has completed a secondary PE buyout in the last 6 months. Larger scale acquisitions are now on the agenda, with the management team and investors retaining a global focus. With excellent exposure to the investors and stakeholders, this role represents a great opportunity to shape a rapidly scaling business over the next investment cycle.

The Role

As the Group Financial Director, you will be responsible for leading financial control of the business, ensuring accurate and timely monthly reporting to support the continued growth of the business. You will oversee the integration of acquisitions, improve the quality of MI, drive cash flow and EBITA and will be key to improving the usage of the ERP system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the provision of high quality and timely financial reporting for the Group including from any acquired entities
  • Build strong relationships across global finance teams to ensure an efficient Group monthly close process
  • Driving improvements to the Group’s financial systems to leverage value creation
  • Optimising the Group’s shared service centre
  • Managing the Group’s Treasury operations including ensuring liquidity, accurate cash flow forecasts and compliance with and reporting on banking covenants
  • Ensure cash flow is maximised by implementing initiatives to drive DSO and DPO
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and tax reporting requirements for Group with overall responsibility for accurate provision of statutory accounts
  • Review accounting processes and procedures. Implement improvements to data quality and drive standardisation in order to generate efficiency
  • Primary day to day contact in the Group Annual Audit process
  • Act as business partner and subsequently build strong working relationships with business stakeholders to ensure the company delivers a quality service to customers
  • Demonstrating strong leadership and management skills

About you:

  • Hands-on as required and willing to put in the hours to continue to drive value accretion in the group
  • Detailed understanding of what good looks like in terms of ERP, process and reporting
  • Experience at running geographically dispersed across different cultures 
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A good team player with ability to work across different regions and units
  • University educated and subsequent accountancy qualification
