My client are very well established in their market and have a real advantage over their competitors in terms of company structure, resources and reputation. They are family-owned with a European parent and supply to the leading names in Supermarket retail.
Responsibilities for this key role to include:
- Work with the Managing Director, other senior executives and non-executives.
- Strategic involvement with customers to achieve common growth targets.
- Provide leadership to the Board's Finance and Accounting Strategy, to optimise the company's financial performance and strategic position.
- Test the financial impact of proposed strategic objectives, validate the authenticity of forecasts and clarify the full impact of cost savings.
- Ensure that the company's financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.
- Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including third party stakeholders and advisors.
Experience:
- Senior management experience.
- FRS 17
- Experience of Company pension schemes.
- Excellent communication at all levels.
- Experience in project management and system implementation.
- Actuarial valuations.
- Experienced in financial strategy, planning and budget management including mergers and disposals.
- Experienced in streamlining department structures, saving overheads and recruiting a commercially focused team.
- Strategic thinker.
- Active qualification in ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Strong analytical approach.
