Our client is a Fintech start up looking to expand their UK business. They are offering a multicurrency card as well as Cryptocurrency solutions. Reporting to the Board, this Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for leading the team and managing all daily operational issues. Ideally you will have some program management experience as well as good relationship management experience.

You will have payments industry knowledge who has the experience of leading a growing company from the ground up. You will be responsible for maximising the value of the company. This will include the development of a financial and operational strategies.

Role Responsibilities:

• Report to the board of directors
• To develop and implement operational policies and a strategic plan.
• Help with recruiting new staff members as the business grows
• Assure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with the compliance team
• Managing multiple card programs in different global regions
• Managing relationships with 3rd party providers
• Co-ordinating and managing internal and external resources for projects
• Work with the executive board to determine values and mission
• Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company
• To oversee the day to day operations of the company
• Implement operational best practices

Role Requirements:

• Ability to operate and influence at senior level and third party providers
• Previous working experience as a COO or similar role would be preferred
• Familiarity with various business functions such as marketing, sales, finance, HR etc
• Experience with change management and operations at hands on and senior level
• Experience in Card program or project management would be an advantage
• Financial services background with experience in prepaid and debit cards
• Experience with Visa and Mastercard an advantage
• Payments and cryptocurrency knowledge / experience would be a bonus
