Product Manager – IP Communications

Opportunity to play a key role with a market-leading International Communications Technology Company

£50,000 – £70,000 + Bens

Our client is a rapidly growing multimillion pound business supplying market leading communication products to over 100 countries. With a worldwide reputation for producing advanced technology products that deliver secure and robust solutions, they employ some of the best brains in their field.  To support plans for continued investment and expansion, they now require a Product Manager.

The Product Manager will take responsibility for driving forward the product roadmap for new products and will ensure their profitable introduction to the marketplace. He or she will work closely with marketing teams to capture product requirements and position products favourably against competitors, and will manage the launch of new products to the best effect. The Product Manager will play a key role in sales forecasting, pricing strategies, ROI analysis and developing a true understanding of customer demands. Working with colleagues, he or she will ensure an integrated approach to the market and new product development.

The successful candidate will have a good technical understanding of IP networking technologies and have proven product management experience. He or she will have hands-on experience of taking new products to market and will be able to provide the bridge between technical and commercial teams. Ideally but not essentially degree qualified, candidates will need to be excellent communicators and presenters, able to work face-to-face with clients to understand what they really want and to translate it into a top level requirements specification. Above all, this person will be a team player who wants to build a career with an international company in a rapidly changing communications technology environment.

Company

What we do

Market specialisation is key to what we do. 90% of our work comes from what is broadly termed Technology Services. We believe specialisation allows us to understand your business quickly and to build networks of contacts and candidates to be able to more rapidly fill your requirements.  Clients range from major corporates to fledgling start-ups.

Take on challenges: sometimes clients have other divisions that fall outside Technology Software and Services. Or sometimes our HR contacts move to totally different sectors. When ‘challenging’ roles come up, perhaps where existing suppliers have failed, clients trust us we get involved.   The client benefits from a fresh pair of professional eyes, we get the chance to learn about new sectors and can apply this learning elsewhere. A combination of best practice and commitment goes a long way – in our case, train manufacturing, smart grids, marketing communications companies and a number of others.

What makes us special

Commitment. Look, we want to invest time to understand your business and your needs. That means we want to invest your time and ours in getting to a position where we can do a great job for you. If you want to throw us a job spec and go from there, you are probably on the wrong page.

Kramer Westfield has handled a huge range of recruitment challenges and has learned how versatility across functional areas combined with sector expertise can be a huge value to clients. We have a number where we have developed a partnership over many years. Real payback can be achieved when trusted relationships are forged.

So what you get is a company of real experience – 70+ years of understanding clients’ needs
