Head of Pensions Policy and Strategy
1 day left
The Money and Pension Service is a new organisation that brings together the free services delivered by the Money Advice Service, The Pensions Advisory Service and Pension Wise. We are an Arms-Length organisation, sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions, with a joint commitment to ensuring that people have access and guidance to the information they need to make effective financial decisions over their lifetime. We are now recruiting for an exciting new role at the heart of our vision of everyone making the most of their money and pensions
About the role
As the Head of Pensions Policy and Strategy, you will play an important role in articulating the vision for the MAPS pensions policy and strategy across pensions guidance and freedoms, and how this fits within financial capability landscape.
You will act as the external face of pensions policy and strategy, speaking at conferences, round tables and events, proactively engaging and influencing stakeholders across the sector. Internally, you will lead an effective functional team and contribute to or lead cross-functional project teams.
This is a high profile role in the pensions sector with a huge social impact. Seven million people are not saving enough for their retirement, according to DWP figures, and, working closely with colleagues, you will play a major role in remedying this.
You will have the creativity and imagination to take a fresh look at the pension landscape and bring innovation, insight and new ideas.
You will also be an experienced leader with a proven ability in articulating and winning support for a compelling strategic vision. You will have an expert knowledge of the UK pension agenda, with trusted stakeholder relationships established across the sector.
