An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Controller to join a global Services company in Hampshire.

You will report directly to the Business Unit Finance Director. You will be accountable for the integrity of financial information within the division and that the financial data and metrics are correct, along with, making sure that processes across the division are efficient and applied consistently.

You will be responsible for building good relationships with the offshore finance team, the UK Finance Business Partners and the wider operations team. As well as the relationships with the UK&E Division and Group Finance.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a Matrix environment and have the ability to make change through influencing.

To successfully deliver in the profile position, you will need to have:

  • Qualified Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience of delivering change across a multi-stakeholder Matrix environment
  • Experience of working with a shared service centre
  • Strong understanding of operational excellence and the implementation of continuous improvement
  • The ability to clearly communicate across teams and adapt to all levels
  • Be able to build strong, professional relationships with customers and across all areas of the business
  • A flexible approach with the ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment

A little more information about the role:

  • Accountable for the integrity of the financial information in the division through the maintenance of an effective control environment
  • Working with Global Process owners to consider the effectiveness and implement the improvements of end to end process
  • To design and implement effective and efficient processes for reporting and ensuring that these are applied consistently across the division
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and process excellence
  • Accountable for the smooth running of the External audit process and the minimisation of audit issues
  • Maintenance and periodic review of the Delegated Authority Matrix
  • Hands on with budgeting, strategic planning and year end reporting
