Madison Pearl Executive Search has been exclusively instructed to source a Head of Risk for a Global Asset Management firm based in the City.

Reporting the CEO, the Head of Risk main objective is to ensure that the financial and operational activities of the business do not expose them and clients to potential or unexpected losses beyond their risk tolerance levels.

The Head of Risk is therefore responsible for defining, implementing and monitoring all measurement or control systems needed to properly ensure the overall compliance of the asset management, sales and other processes, including those of support functions, with the commitment of the firms to the clients and any other third party.

Concretely, this responsibility entails :

1. Defining all relevant guidelines and risk limit for each management process or group of processes, and having those guidelines and limits duly validated by the relevant bodies; Monitoring, on a daily basis, the effective management process and the consistency with the set guidelines and restrictions

2. In liaison with the front office and other controls functions, identifying, assessing, monitoring and testing the overall risk situationof the business, (risk on the portfolios (market, credit, performance deviation from target), operational risk, reputational risk,...)

3. Taking all actions to inform properly and in due time the management of the firm and of the result of their monitoring and in particular of any situation that would require a specific alert. Making sure all necessary corrective measures being taken in due time.

The successful candidate will be:

• Fluebt French and English
• Strong Interpersonal Skills and proven experience of influencing internal stakeholder.
• Solid management experience.
• Experience of working across Market, Credit and Operational Risk.
