INSPIRE OUR NEXT REVOLUTION

At Camden Council, we have a history of doing things differently. We embrace this rebellious spirit to seek creativity, celebrate our diversity and empower everyone around us. But we also never stop looking forward. Which is why we worked in partnership with our residents to create Camden 2025. It's more than a strategy. It's a call to action, inspiring new ways of working, where Camden's people, the council and others come together to develop new solutions.

In May we launched Camden's External Challenge, an innovative new model where we bring together world-renowned think tanks, universities, businesses and sector leaders together with residents, elected members and local partners to help us achieve the ambition set out in Camden 2025. Our first challenge is on Camden's digital future, and we have 'challengers' from the Guardian, City of Paris, Bloomberg Philanthropy, FutureGov, GDS and RNIB working with us to define our digital future.

Now, we're looking for a Head of Digital Transformation. It's an incredibly exciting opportunity to develop, communicate and deliver a digital strategy for one of the capital's most forward-thinking councils. To do this, you'll both lead and work with your colleagues and stakeholders, ensuring that our processes and systems are designed and implemented to support our strategy. You'll manage a small team of digital experts, and collaborate with the wider Digital Services team, the council and external providers. Reporting to the Chief Digital Information Officer and operating as a key member of the Digital Services Senior Leadership Team, you'll be the principal authority for all things digital across the council.

As a senior management position, this role will see you work across the council and wider borough. So you'll be expected to perform at a SFIA Level 7, while also setting strategy and inspiring all stakeholders to act. You'll need to come to us with demonstrable experience of delivering significant innovation and inspiring change at a cross-organisation level. You will have already introduced new ways of working through your excellent influencing and people skills. In fact, you're an expert communicator, and feel as comfortable in the boardroom as you do working with residents in the community hall. Of course, you have a strong grasp of technology and the potential it has to deliver real change and innovation.
