Description:
- Ownership, operationalisation and oversight of Supplier Risk & Criticality assessment process and Supplier Risk Framework (SRF)
- Lead and develop the Supplier Management Centre of Excellence function to drive improved supplier management processes, systems and support provided to stakeholders
- Provide induction & refresher training, ongoing advice, support and consultation to Supplier Managers & Accountable Executives to help them manage their supplier relationships effectively
- Provide SRF quality assurance to assess adherence to framework and target improvements
- Ownership of Supplier Management reporting to stakeholders and throughout the risk committee structure up to and including Board Risk Committee
- Keep abreast of regulations as they relate to third party management and oversight via research, networking and attendance at key forums. Drive any applicable changes through process re-adjustments and training
- Development, ownership and oversight of a Supplier Assurance programme to validate external supplier controls applicable to managing inherent risk. Ensure programme deliverables are met in agreed timescales.
- Establishment, ongoing review & management of Procurement systems used, identifying and driving through any improvements
- Procurement policy, process and procedure review and revision
- Oversee the screening of existing suppliers ensuring all requirements are met and within required frequency
- Provide oversight and co-ordinate procurement programme tasks across the SM CoE as required
- Develop best practice templates and guidance documentation to support Supplier Managers in meeting Supplier Management requirements
- Work with the Sourcing team to ensure Sourcing practices reflect the requirements of ongoing supplier management activities
Profile:
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent presentation and communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple objectives against a plan of activity
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own and teams work. Takes responsibility for own and teams actions
- Self-starter and can work under own initiative
- Naturally challenges the status quo to drive improvements/add further value to owned processes
- Process oriented and thinks like the end user in process design
- Naturally tenacious and will keep pushing to drive the Supplier Management agenda
- Previous line management responsibility
- Relevant and proven supplier management experience in FS industry
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and simplify complex requirements
- Change management - embedding new systems & processes
