This is a new IT Commercial Manager opportunity within the procurement team to look at the life-cycle of the technology supplier base and really shape the future road map.

My client is a leading private energy provider based out of London which supplies a number of regions. A business that truly values procurement and the positive value add impact it can.


The key responsibilities for the IT Commercial Manager are:

  • Ensuring that key contract dates within the identified strategic technology supplier contracts are known and managed, including renewal dates, benchmark opportunities and any applicable price reviews
  • Ensuring that contractual obligations are known, documented, managed and reported on across identified strategic technology suppliers
  • Maintaining accountability for ensuring commercial strategies are in place for strategic technology suppliers and monitoring adherence and changes to this
  • Working with key service owners and stakeholders (including Security and Data Protection) to ensure that contract risks and issues are managed and appropriate actions are taken
  • Ownership of the formal supplier governance forums with identified strategic suppliers
  • Manage technology supplier change management processes, ensuring appropriate governance and controls are in place. This includes, where appropriate, review and negotiation of Statements of Work under existing agreements
  • Developing, implementing and ongoing review of Supplier Management framework, including processes and policies
  • Define and report on critical KPIs that show the performance of suppliers in managing the performance of the contract


The successful IT Commercial Manager will demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrable experience of defining and implementing contract and commercial management processes and best practices
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to problem solve across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Able to work independently and establish relationships across IT functions and external suppliers
