Head Legal and Commercial Contracts

Broster Buchanan is partnering with the largest and most successful NHS commercial department in the country to appoint a Head of Legal and Commercial Contracts. A pivotal leadership role reporting to the Commercial Director, you will provide strategic legal advice on all commercial contract negotiations across the Trust's expanding international portfolio.

You will ensure that the current commercial portfolio is underpinned by outstanding professional contract and legal advice in order to optimise effective delivery. Additionally, you will work across a diverse internal and external stakeholder group to provide strategic input in growing and diversifying commercial income.

As a successful applicant you will have the following experience:

• A qualified lawyer with demonstrable post qualification experience as a contracts manager and in-house legal advisor.
• Extensive knowledge of complex contract levers, funding mechanisms and collaborative business constructs
• Some experience in the healthcare industry and a demonstrable understanding and interest in healthcare policy
• Ability to positively influence and negotiate with a diverse stakeholder group at board level
• Track record of managing and developing a successful team and operating at a strategic level
