Principal Adviser – European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF), Brussels

The European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) protects the financial interests of the European Union by investigating fraud and corruption; detecting actions by members and staff of EU Institutions that could result in disciplinary or criminal proceedings and supporting the development of anti-fraud legislation and policies. OLAF is a Directorate-General of the European Commission, but enjoys statutory independence when conducting investigations.

Your responsibilities:

  • To provide strategic advice to the Director-General on the development, design, deployment and quality assurance of OLAF's activities and investigative policies;
  • To apply legal expertise when prioritising OLAF’s investigative policies and actions
  • To support the human and financial management of OLAF

Your skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of OLAF’s mission, competencies, rules, procedures and broader context
  • Strong advisory capacities being able to provide at the same time overall strategic policy advice and concrete support on individual legal issues
  • Good understanding of anti-fraud investigation and budgetary, financial and HR management issues
