My client is looking to take advantage of new growth by recruiting a Business Development Manager - Medical - to generate new business opportunities within the health sector across Europe. The successful candidate will report directly to the Sales Director.

My client is a market leader in the development and manufacture of highly technical thermoformed plastic packaging. It has a significant position in the Medical and Pharmaceutical markets utilising cleanroom technology.

Description

The Business Development Manager - Medical - will combine technical knowledge on medical packaging and quality requirements along with essential sales skills. The successful candidate will excel in design-led sales processes, new account generation and retention. The key requirement of the job consists of conferring with customers, technical, design & quality teams to determine the requirements and transcribe it into a brief/design that brings a solution sale.

The Business Development Manager - Medical Packaging - Europe will:

  • Develop client specific strategies to win new business within the medical market across Europe
  • Prepare technical presentation material and pitch to clients
  • Manage and co-ordinate the sales process - Closely follow up project advancement and report as appropriate to the team/customer
  • Build strong relationships with both target clients and also regional sales and operational teams
  • Oversee the post business award period with internal teams
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting & activity reports to the Leadership team
  • Keep up to date with regional supply and demand issues, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to the Leadership team

Profile

The Business Development Manager - Medical Packaging - will have:

  • Proven success, knowledge and demonstrable background in a sales role within the Medical packaging, thermoforming, injection moulding or related industry
  • A passion for winning new business development and technical sales
  • Strong entrepreneurial approach with a proven track record of gaining and maintaining new customers
  • A history of building relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Good project management skills
  • Degree
  • Position is home based in the UK, Germany, France or Switzerland

Selling a technical solutions into the medical market is essential.

Job Offer
