Head of Finance / FD, High Growth Independent TV Production Company

Wonderful opportunity to run the finances of an award-winning independent film and TV production company based in Central London.

Reporting to the COO, the Head of Finance will oversee the day to day management of the finance team, overseeing the Senior Management Accountant. Management Accountant and Production Controller.  You will have complete control of the Group’s financial output, including monthly management information, interpretation and analysis, cash flow reporting & analysis, budgeting, forecasting, the year-end process and tax.  You will also oversee all the financial systems and controls, ensuring they are fit for purpose

More specialist elements of the role include controlling individual TV productions and films incorporating separate teams, for which this role is ultimately responsible, and an element of US GAAP reporting (experience of which is not a requirement of the role).

There are also likely to be a number of ad hoc commercial projects on behalf of the COO.

Applications are invited from qualified accountants who must have Financial management experience within the Film,TV, broadcasting or post production sectors.

You should also have good experience of team management and development, ideally including people operating remotely from the central office.

As is always the case in the creative industry applicants must have the ability to build relationships with colleagues at all levels and in all departments of the organisation. This will necessitate great communication and presentation skills, and the ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level.  

In terms of technical skills some exposure to US accounting would be helpful, as would strong IT skills, particularly Excel and SAP
