OVERVIEW

As a Head of Data Science at this UK retail giant you will be reforming their analytics function, developing a centralised hub which will benefit the wider business across all departments. You will be building out the team to a strong head-count and developing a road-map as to how Data Science can be utilised most effectively for the business. Your responsibilities as a Head of Data Science will include but not be limited to:

• Creating Data Science strategies for several business areas including retail, food, warehousing, online service, supply chain etc
• Building out the Data Science team and making several hires in this space in 2019 to work towards a strong team headcount.
• Developing a centralised Data Science hub for the business which will impact and support all business functions.
• Drive through the strategic delivery of commercially applicable Data Science projects where models and deployed and productionised.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Strong career experience as a Data Scientist and ability to be hands on when necessary
• Minimum of PhD level degree in relevant field
• Experience leading/ managing Data Science teams for a top company
• Scalable Data Science growth experience
• Experience working with high level stakeholders and delivering on multiple Data Science projects
