We are a growing financial services firm based in the heart of Bristol and are embarking on a period of continued and sustained growth. As we enter this exciting phase we are looking for an experienced, charismatic and inspirational leader to be our next Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Job title: Chief Operating Officer/ COO

Location: Bristol (with London travel)

Package details: basic to £175,000, 50% bonus, 10% pension, 30 days annual holiday

We are looking for an experienced financial services professional, with a solid understanding and experience of CASS who will ensure we have the appropriate operational systems and controls in place so that daily functions can be delivered. You will also work towards growing the maturity of our operations (including IT and Change) to provide a stable foundation for us to scale the business.

You will be an experienced board/committee member holding reporting lines in to several, as well as having a seat at the table. You will work closely with the Chairman and Board on all policy-making decisions and activity, but be responsible for maintaining awareness of all financial services trends which might influence these decisions.

Experience and responsibilities:
  • Responsible for initiating and supporting the delivery of change to support growth.
  • Experience in operating model, communications, personnel and cultural transformations
  • A background in M&A activity will be very useful
  • Responsible for driving new business ventures whcih include; new distribution channels, new offices, new product launches

Our COO will hold a key line in to, and be responsible for, developing key relationships with industry contacts such as; the FCA, London Stock Exchange and software suppliers. Experience in working with lines like this will be essential in order to make this role a success.
