You may be in an Investment Bank or a Corporate Finance Broker or Boutique or in the Corporate Finance Team of the Big 4 (or perhaps a National Firm) – you are very bright, maybe MBA from a quality business school and/or a qualified accountant or banker/economist. You are a smart/accurate (maybe 1^st class) graduate to whom incisive analytics, modelling, statistics, sensitivity analysis are second nature – you ‘get under and own the figures’. You are not just numerate – you are commercial...you take pride in your work not changing under review and deliver high quality work, right first time, every time. You want to verify, value & validate and to ‘cut’ your first major deal. You also probably want to return to the North and make your reputation there.  Or maybe you are already there.

Either way, my client is a significant northern success story, P/E backed with a brilliant trajectory of controlled year on year growth, excellent liquidity, profitability and EBITDA underpinned by a strong balance sheet. They are on the ‘cusp of realisation’, with substantive fixed assets and genuine brand equity, a strong local legacy and a proven value-proposition which is currently at the ‘sweet-spot’ of their roll-out plans.  Moreover it is in the most lucrative niche in their sector. The compulsion is obvious.
