This is a new key appointment with this market leading company, part of an international group; it provides a full service offering to the leading publishing houses which embraces book manufacturing, pre-retail, distribution and supply chain solutions. 

The role reports to the Sales Director and is a new addition to the senior team and it carries responsibility for managing and developing one of their largest and most important high growth potential accounts, which has a significant turnover and includes a multitude of separate stand-alone, well-known publishing brands. There is a long standing relationship with this strategic account in which each division has its own production teams and a key requirement is to ensure that effective relationships are maintained and built upon.

You will focus on delivering a winning business development strategy for the account and this will involve multi-level contacting and networking in addition to the relationship building inherent in this role.  You will also interface significantly with your colleagues in manufacturing and supply chain and with the support of your team deliver on the potential that the account has to offer.

As the business is very customer facing and operates through a very friendly professional approach, you will need to have excellent social and interpersonal skills coupled this with lots of emotional intelligence in order to ensure success. You will also be given the opportunity to target and win new business accounts.

Graduate qualified, you will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of success in demanding customer orientated B2B environments and be comfortable with delivering world-class customer service in market sectors where a soft sell, long term business relationship style works. Whilst experience in books or publishing is the ideal, other areas of potential interest to the client include, print, point-of-sale or high end manufactured products.  However, the client has an open mind on sector experience as their key requirement is to attract a highly talented B2B professional who will bring an impressive combination of commercial, customer service, business development and interpersonal skills and is therefore open to proven  and successful candidates from other sectors.
