Numerical Algorithms Group

Chief Executive Officer

Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG) is a leading technical software and services company. Based in Oxford, and with operations in the US, mainland Europe and Asia, we have nearly 50 years’ expertise in algorithms, numerical software and high performance computing. Clients in the global Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Education and Engineering sectors buy our high-quality computational software products, commission our consultancy and HPC support services, and trust our impartial advice. As a not-for-profit company, we partner with academia and reinvest our surpluses into the research and development of our products, services, staff and collaborations.

Our current CEO, Dr Rob Meyer, will step down later this year after a long and successful tenure. We are now looking for an experienced and highly capable individual to lead NAG through the next stage of its development. Reporting to the Chair and Board of Directors, the CEO will provide visible leadership across a scientific business. S/he will be expected to lead the development of NAG’s strategy and to hold the Executive and the wider organisation to account for its successful delivery. S/he will also assure the further diversification and growth of future income and will be highly credible with technical experts, industry clients and academic partners. The appointed candidate will bring a successful track record as a commercially astute senior leader and will be a demonstrably capable manager of people and resources. The ability to lead through consensus is essential.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to lead and shape a specialist and highly respected software company. Further information and details of how to apply can be found by clicking on the 'apply' button.

Applications are invited by the closing date of Monday 8 July 2019
