Internationally renowned software and publishing business produces high value digital content that has delighted millions of users and sports enthusiasts for over 30 years. Now a listed company, the shareholders are looking at an exciting array of opportunities that involve Virtual and Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence and Online Subscription Services.

Employing 700 in the UK, your IT team is responsible for business systems implementation / management (HR / Finance / ERP) and Network Infrastructure, Service Delivery and IT Operations. You will also be responsible for technology that underpins the product but NOT for any product development.

As IT Director you will have a multi million pound IT budget and also be responsible governance, security, disaster recovery and GDPR, alongside core Network Operations and Business Continuity. In addition you will ensure that business systems and infrastructure is in line with the ambitions and strategic direction of the products, this will include 'Change Management'. With so many product developers and senior stakeholders all with extremely high standards and big demands strong stakeholder management experience is critical.

Given the meticulous nature of the product development and culture, we are looking for an IT Director or Head of IT used to working in an environment focused on continuous improvement, for example Engineering, Software, Motorsport or similar. Someone who is happy with managing IT operations by getting close to the business and users and providing strong and consistent leadership team at all levels.

Here is a list of things we're looking for

* A sole point of escalation and decision making within an organisation

* Managed an IT budget of at least £2 million

* Managed a team at least 12 people

* Managed multisite operations and people

* Experience of ITIL / Service Delivery processes and frameworks

* Understanding of ISO27001

* Ability to develop detailed IT strategy / roadmaps / vision

* Technical competency in understanding enterprise infrastructure

* Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure (on / off prem)

* Wider knowledge and understanding of managing ERP and Business Systems

* Experience of managing projects, digital transformation and change

* Leading, mentoring and developing others.

* Understanding of Storage, Security and Disaster Recovery
