This is a newly created role where you will contribute significantly to the strategic thinking and be fully involved in the overall management and direction of the regional businesses.

Responsible for the overseeing of operations at depots within the region. With joint accountability with a counterpart for driving profitable volume growth in the region and attaining and maintaining exceptional scores.

Assessing all potential sites in relation to their operational capabilities and thereafter ensuring the successful on boarding and development of efficiencies, equipping them to succeed.
  • Establish and review Regional Operational Plans, Budgets and KPIs/Performance Targets
  • Establish/implement Regional succession plan, incl. Staff training and development plans
  • Ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures & ensure Group H&S policy is implemented and adhered to in region
  • Manage two way Communication Cascade
  • Assist in development of distribution & Operational strategy in line with Group goals
  • Control of regional fixed assets
  • Management of Regional Operations Cost Budgets
  • Define and oversee portfolio of regional change projects
  • Support in trade visits with largest regional customers to enhance customer relationship and reinforce credibility
  • Support new customer onboarding process and ensure depot regional operations support is fostering score growth

The successful candidate will be culturally adept, you will be a proven operations leader within Food/ FMCG plus have experience at the strategic level within a high growth SME or at a divisional level in a larger group.

Adept working within a fast paced, hands on, entrepreneurial environment and with an ability to operate outside of your functional expertise.

Strong commercial expertise within Food/ Branded products is a must.

Possessing excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to network and establish productive relationships inside, across and outside of the organisation and internationally.

Develop a strong sense of co-operation and teamwork with a focus on common business goals and KPIs. Establish effective succession planning within the Senior Team. Ensure customer-centric focus and high levels of service (internal & external). Immediate interviews
