Description

Specifically target and drive performance improvement by supporting adherence to best practice and standardisation processes. making accountabilities, Sales and Operations Planning, etc).

Setting up weekly tracking tools and KPI's to manage performance.

Clear accountability for setting of workforce levels, recruitment and overtime.

Develop and adopt best practices in medium and short range workforce planning, i.e S&OP Implement best practices, influence and provide practical support for the implementation of efficient approaches to flexing direct labour, to maintain alignment to fluctuating customer demand, i.e using sub-contractors, annualised hours, seasonal contracts etc.

Monthly reviews with planning leaders to review medium range demand forecasts and workforce plans at business unit level. To make recommendations and provide support. To forecast expected direct labour cost per job for the next rolling 6 months.

Annual reviews with senior operations leaders to review current workforce strategy and next years budgeted workforce plans. Collation of data and communication to key stakeholders on current performance of capacity alignment to actual demand, highlighting opportunities.

Explore and share capacity management best practices used outside of the group. Support the development of new techniques in demand forecasting. Sales and operations.

Profile

Demonstrate in depth knowledge of workforce planning and labour flexibility approaches.

An ability to articulate the links between capacity alignment and direct labour cost per job. Review business unit workforce plans in a constructive and collaborative way. Being a trusted advisor and respected expert.

Analyse performance to provide insight and recommendations.

An ability to maintain a current understanding of capacity opportunities and challenges across the 4 business units and provide appropriate communication to key stakeholders.

Support the key business units in developing workforce plans and strategies to realise benefits.

Proven expertise in operational consultancy in the area of workforce planning.

Track record of influencing workforce strategies at a senior level.

Excellent analytical skills - to spot opportunities.

Strong communication skills with the ability to distil complex information into a clear format.

A passion for working collaboratively across business units and functions.

High degree of curiosity & strong analytical problem solving skills.

Fluency in written and spoken English. (preferably French speaking)
