Grafton Banks Finance Executive Search has been retained to recruit a CFO for a young commercial stage biotech company with offices in Surrey. The CEO founded the company to transform the way medicine is delivered by developing a proprietary hybrid drug delivery technology. They have raised series A funding which has enabled the business to start developing its own products and are in the process of a series B financing round. The company is now looking to appoint a CFO to work with the CEO and Chief Commercial Officer to take a lead on all the company's capital raising and finance including forecasting, budgeting and reporting as well as business plan reviews and presentations to the board and investors. You will update the company's financial models, ensure all group companies meet their financial targets and legal obligations and prepare the company for a high value exit through trade sale or IPO.

To apply you will possess the following experience:
  • Biotech or Pharmaceutical sector experience
  • Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) at FD or CFO level
  • Experience of achieving capital raises and/or taken a company through an exit
  • Experience of generating NPVs/Valuations

This is a highly commercial and strategic CFO opportunity which will enable the successful individual to add genuine commercial value to a dynamic and expanding organisation at an exciting point of their growth. For your experience and commitment, you will be rewarded with a competitive package that includes performance based bonusses and share options.
