Firefly currently have a great opportuntiy and are looking for an exception finance individual to join a leading Private Equity backed software company based in Berkshire.
The role
The Head of Financial Operations will be adept at managing large teams (in excess of 30 people), across multiple locations and able to balance competing priorities and deadlines within order processing and credit control activities. They will need to develop a clear vision for the team, the processes and technology alongside both the Group FC and CFO and execute against that vision in line with the wider Group technology strategy and ongoing business growth.

The role

Responsibilities Include:
- Team development and role model behaviour for an ambitious and growing management team
- Improving the customer ordering, invoicing and payment experience across all IRIS product lines
- Managing an effective credit control function that maximises cash collection
- Ownership of business integration activities across transactional finance areas for new acquisitions
- Partnering with leadership on systems transformation project to ensure adequate representation of SSC
- Ongoing process standardisation and improvement across different teams and geographic locations
- Talent management, recruitment and succession planning within the teams
- Contribution to monthly board pack reporting on key KPI
- Reporting to the Executive Committee on a monthly basis with regards to debt position
- Leading process mapping and integration activities for new acquisitions
What are we looking for?
- Evidence of leading the successful transformation of both teams and processes
- Ability to understand and map processes quickly and effectively
- Have worked within one or multiple transactional finance teams and understand day-to-day priorities within these teams
- Customer focused
- Works effectively under pressure
- Can prioritise and balance competing priorities
- Ability to build strong relationships with external stakeholders
- Ability to challenge the current processes, design improvements and execute against them
- Excellent manager; able to coach and develop
- Excellent communication skills - both in person and via phone/email/presentation
