Chief Technology Officer (CTO) - with a proven background of leading and developing large software technical teams is required by for a leading Fintech organisation. This role is to drive the technology department to the next level, take ownership while being an influence at board level. If you live and breath tech, have a passion and have that gravitas totransform the a whole technology remit, then this is the role for you.

Reporting directly to the MD , the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for all aspects of the Technology side of the business including Service Operations, Technical / infrastructure services, Project Delivery, Database Architecture, System Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, Software Design and Supplier Management. Full backing will be given, so you will scope the department in the way you feel fit

Experience required
  • Heading up technical teams with a mixture of software development and architecture and be in a similar type of CTO / Head of Architecture / Head of Technology Innovation
  • Excellent experience in software architecture, system architecture, security, data analysis, Artificial Intelligence, programming and software design ideally in a .NET and DevOps environment (Other languages such as PHP, Java etc would be considered)
  • Leading and defining the Technical Architecture strategy
  • Leading and defining the overall Technology strategy, so taking full ownership
  • Customer experience essential with a strong emphasis digital business models.
  • A proven track record delivering technical transformation in relation to data centre & cloud solutions
  • A proven track record of achieving outstanding results within an ITIL service operations environment including management of 3rdparty suppliers and effective use of service management & system monitoring tools
  • Experienced in all aspects of supplier selection and supplier management in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of the ITIL lifecycle and how this works within an Agile Delivery Environment
  • Experience in balancing BAU service & infrastructure maintenance, alongside transformational change.

Role and Responsibilities:
  1. Leads and defines the overall Technology strategy incorporating all processes managed by the area within a DEVOPs/Agile environment. Establishes formal policies and frameworks to support consistent service delivery.
  2. Leads and defines the Technical Architecture strategy and delivery ensuring cost effective solutions in accordance with IT risk, security & policy standards.
  3. Revered as an expert of their specialist area; aware of industry best practice and incorporates into working practices across the Technology landscape.
  4. Accountable for the IT Architecture, ensuring the required levels of IT resilience are provisioned for both internal technology and technology supplied by 3rd
  5. Senior relationship owner for all technical IT services, provided via third parties, ensuring they are fit for purpose, meet service levels
  6. Keeps abreast of emerging technology and tools that could enhance the IT (technical) Services
  7. Provides direct management and mentoring to team, providing development opportunities and career advancement as appropriate
