The Impact Investing Institute is an exciting new, independent organisation which aims to accelerate the growth, and improve the effectiveness, of the UK impact investing market. Its vision is that more people’s lives improve, as more people choose to use their savings and investments to help solve social challenges, as well as seeking a financial return. With backing from a number of private firms and foundations as well as the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), the Department for International Development (DFID), and the City of London Corporation, the Institute will formally launch in the Autumn and is now looking for its first Chief Executive.

The Institute will drive action and catalyse change through convening knowledge and expertise and creating partnerships to address market barriers and capitalise on opportunities.

This will be a unique role for someone who wants to transform the way investment delivers lasting impact to improve people’s lives. You will have credibility with leaders in the financial and social sectors and have an understanding of the opportunities and challenges of impact investing. You will have sufficient grounding in the technical areas, crucially investment finance and will have the credibility and track record of engaging with senior stakeholders across sectors and geographies, including government, charities, social enterprises and investors. You will also have the vision and galvanising ability to set up and establish the new Institute, working closely with its Management Board and Advisory Council.

Saxton Bampfylde Ltd is acting as an employment agency advisor to the Impact Investing Institute on this appointment. For further information about the role, including details about how to apply, please visit www.saxbam.com/appointments using reference XAASB. Alternatively telephone +44 (0)20 7227 0880 (during office hours). Applications should be received by noon on 18th June 2019.
