Sales of Specialist Business Services across the UK 

£50,000 - £65,000 + OTE + Car

Our client is a highly successful B2B business services company with clients in all verticals and from SMEs to multi-national corporations. They have staff based in offices across the globe and lead the market in the majority of sectors that they operate in. With a reputation for service delivery in challenging, business critical situations that is second to none, they employ world-class professionals in a variety of disciplines. As a part of their continued growth trajectory, they now wish to hire a Business Development Manager.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying opportunities for business services and strategically developing relationships at senior level in order to close long-term deals.  Working hand-in-hand with marketing, the Business Development Manager will take ownership of a designated vertical and will lead the prosecution of sales, supported by targeted tactical marketing campaigns. The Business Development Manager will become an expert in his or her vertical and will attend conferences and events in order to network with key decision-makers. As well as developing strong client relationships, the Business Development Manager will work internally with delivery teams to ensure a seamless transition from enquiry, through bid and onto successful delivery.  He or she will take overall responsibility for generating a pipeline of profitable business and developing an end-to-end managed service offering.

The successful candidate will have a background in new business sales of services, ideally but not essentially in a managed services environment.  Backgrounds in consultancy, financial services, insurance, technology services, medical or legal services could all be appropriate.  Key requirement is the ability to sell consultatively and to build strategic, long-term relationships.  Candidates will need to demonstrate an intelligent, thoughtful and flexible approach to their work and experience of winning complex deals. Above all we are looking for an ambitious individual, ready to take on a challenge and grow with an exciting, market-leading company.
