Our client, an industry leader with a stellar reputation for providing a dynamic and flexible working environment, is looking to source a charismatic and confident leader, to join as Supply Chain Finance Director. This is an organisation that consistently strives for efficiency and innovation, so you must be a proactive and inquisitive self-starter, always looking to go above and beyond the BAU.
You will lead the finance functions that support the manufacturing and logistics operations, managing a large P&L cost base and annual capital budget. You'll support the Operations Director in driving strategy, planning and overall financial performance. With a wider team of 20 and 8 direct reports, you must have a proven track record in management and be capable of galvanising a complex team based across the UK.
Main duties include:
* Acting as the key commercial business partner and advisor to the Operations Director and their team
* Leading planning and forecasting operational processes providing future facing data to aid decision making
* Challenging the business to drive sustainable value
* Oversight of actual monthly results and KPIs and commentary
* Providing financial insight and analysis to support strategic decision making
* Supporting decisions on investments and capital allocation, including acquisitions and disposals
* Working effectively across the business to research variances and understand trends
* Managing and developing direct reports and maintaining team culture
Key skills & experience required:
* ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified
* Strong experience gained from the FMCG/Manufacturing/Logistics sector
* Driven and able to balance multiple priorities
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of non-finance stakeholders
* Confident and credible demeanour, capable of challenging and influencing where necessary
