Diocese of Rochester
The Diocese of Rochester is a diverse and vibrant community of faith with a new strategic framework – Called Together – in place, and a clear vision to grow disciples, enrich our communities and resource each other in our mission and ministry. The Diocese is now looking for a new Diocesan Secretary to serve this vision and ensure a strong and sustainable future.
This historic Diocese, in existence since 604 AD, serves a population of some 1.3 million people, and reaches from rural areas into London. It covers some of the most affluent areas in England, and some of the most deprived wards in the South-East, and champions the diversity found across the region.
The Diocesan Secretary will be creative and entrepreneurial, outward-facing and able to build strong relationships. With a track record in leadership, experience in empowering teams and a commitment to see the Church grow in strength and impact, the new Diocesan Secretary will bring an innovative, ‘can-do’ approach to the development of the diocese and play a full role in its senior leadership as a passionate and credible Christian leader. Above all they will serve in the important task of shaping the culture and ethos of all that is done in the name of the Diocese.
