An hospitality business based in the heart of London is looking for a Interim Head of Finance Operations for initially a 12month contract. This is a immediate need and only candidates immediately available to interview and commencement employment within 2 weeks can be considered for this opportunity.

Principle job duties and responsibilities:

Given the dual purpose of the role, the below is split into the two core components:
  1. Order to Cash and Procure to Pay Improvement Project; and
  2. Day-to-day management of AR,AP and Finance Systems functions.
  1. Order to Cash and Procure to Pay Improvement Project
  • Lead the review of all Order to Cash and Procure to Pay policies and procedures, putting forward recommendations to achieve efficiencies in line with company and legal requirements (both quick wins and longer term improvements).
  • Review existing team structures
  • Lead reviews of key systems (SAP (including links to Opera) and Web 3) working closely with Procurement, Sales, and Technology for streamlining processes and ensuring all is fit for purpose.
  • Oversee the implementation of changes to the central commissions platform - currently operated via Analyzer but expected to transition in the next 6 months.
  1. Day-to-day management of AR, AP and Finance Systems functions.
  • Set objectives and define development plans for direct reports in line with department objectives
  • Review all weekly/monthly AP & AR reporting to ensure it provides users with sufficient information to make informed decisions
  • To maintain strong relationships between the central support functions.
  • Review and approve all commission invoices over the AP Manager's approval limits
  • Review and approve all credit applications, customer account changes, credit limits and bad debt write offs over the Credit Manager's approval limits
  • Ad hoc related finance work.
