Head of Finance (Fundraising & Retail)

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen with one of the largest and best-known international development organisations in the world, to join them as Interim Head of Finance over the Fundraising and Retail departments. You will join at a critical time whilst the organisation reviews its fundraising strategy; as such the organisation is looking for a commercial Head of Finance who can contribute to this whilst leading the Retail and Fundraising finance teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering and improving the directorate FP&A processes and providing independent challenge and oversight, to improve accuracy and financial performance
• Being a member of, and finance business partner to, the Fundraising Directorate Management Team
• Ownership of the fundraising financial, planning and analysis cycle (three-year plan, budget, forecast, reporting and management information)
• Direct line management of 3 direct reports
• Informing strategic decisions by providing planning and forecasting of the organisation's reserves and accurate analysis of available funding for services and programmes
• Working closely with Corporate Finance and Strategic Change to develop methods and processes to track delivery and embedding of savings targets and plans

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified Accountant with experience working at Head of Finance level
• Have strong data analysis and financial modelling skills
• Be able to interpret, summarise and present complex financial information to a range of senior member of staff
• Have experience leading and developing a highly skilled team
• Be able to pick things up quickly with a relatively short handover time
