Interim Group Tax Director

Our client is a UK headquartered listed plc, with significant international operations.

As Interim Group Tax Director, reporting to the Group Finance Director, key challenges include:

• Managing a team of 4 staff
• Taking leadership in developing and delivering a robust strategy for all taxes globally
• Maintaining appropriate tax governance, policies and processes to identify and minimise tax risk
• Managing the group's corporation tax accounting for year end reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Reviewing the group's transfer pricing policies
• Providing high level and strategic tax input to management decisions and corporate projects
• Reviewing corporate tax compliance
• Managing the group's relationship with HMRC
• Supporting on all major international business projects, including M&A
• Providing operational support and tax advice to the business units
• Managing group tax governance

The successful candidate will have the following profile:

• Professional qualification (ACA &/or CTA)
• IFRS group tax reporting experience
• Experience across all areas of direct and inddirect tax
• Experience in directly managing and engaging with tax audits
• International experience, including transactions, M&A and project tax experience
• Experience of managing SAO and tax governance at board level

Start Date: 1st July 2019

Duration: 1 year fixed term contract

Remuneration: £six figure salary plus benefits package
