My Client a Global Digital Consultancy are looking for Technical Director to join and Build a Team in the North West (Warrington / Manchester) running an Enterprise development project for a high Profile FinTech Client. Based on site in Warrington the Technical Director will split time from Home Office and on site in Warrington, with some travel to London where my clients Head Office is based.

The Tech Director will run a enterprise software development and integration piece - building a new Platform (Java) that will run all the clients FinTech applications.

If you are a Technical Director you will know your way around Java Environments and you have a solid understanding of Cloud Technologies (AWS preferred). You'll Collaborate with Architecture to translate high-level designs into operationally ready engineering through proof of concept testing. If you have a background in FinTech, it would be desirable but not essential - we are looking for a Tech Director who has a passion for Tech and evolved from Java background moving through to Architecture to the dizzy heights of a TD Role

Experience

* Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and web services security

* Expert understanding of network technologies and security including, inter-networking concepts, load balancing and application filtering tools, network protocols, remote access technologies, and monitoring tools.

* Expert understanding network and cloud technologies including firewalls and data loss prevention

* Expert understanding in vulnerability management, threat modeling, and remediation through technology

* Expert understanding of multiple operating systems security including Windows, Unix/Linux

* Fluent in one or more scripting languages/tools (Java, Python)

* Highly technical experience with large server and application deployments on virtualization platforms

* Expert level in application/software development/deployment methodologies, processes, and testing automation (DevOps, CI/CD)

* Successful track record of building distributed systems and reliable, fault tolerant software on virtualized environments

* Passion for and on-hands experience in automation

* Working knowledge of Azure, Google, and/or AWS cloud services

* Able to systematically analyze and break-down systems into smaller components in order to better understand the functionality

* Ability to effectively and professionally communicate complex ideas and concepts

* 10+ years of solid development experience in distributed platform
