New role spearheading sales growth in UK and international markets
Manufacturer of Specialist Passenger Vehicles. Strong focus on bus operating companies

Reporting directly to the Managing Director of this well-established and successful c£35m business, which is part of a larger Group, this key role carries responsibility for the leadership and development of sales with particular emphasis on winning new business within the private bus operator marketplace whilst also developing the company’s significant export potential. The company has a reputation for its technical capabilities in product design and manufacturing and it has a passion for customer service. It has a number of long standing customer relationships which can be further developed and there is an experienced team of regional Sales Managers plus export sales in place. Its customer base includes local governments, a wide range of bus operators and there is also a small export content into the EU and further into Australasia. The plan is to achieve significant sales growth over the next 3 years through developing both the private bus operator and export markets. There is a significant amount of new product development coming through the pipeline and it has a compelling value proposition so the potential to achieve the growth plan is very real. An impressive sales leadership professional with recent experience of selling vehicles, components or equipment into the major bus operators and specialist vehicle applications in the health, educational and social services markets is required. You will already be leading a sales operation and will have experience of negotiating and closing large contracts, often following a tender process, with associated support arrangements. In particular you will have had recent international sales experience and be familiar with the processes surrounding the identification and appointment of committed regional distributors with long term growth objectives. This role reports into board level and has clear prospects for promotion to Director level in the future for those with the gravitas and relationship building skills necessary for success in this marketplace.

You will be expected to live within a reasonable commute of the north west/M62 corridor.
