**About Supplycompas**

We're on a mission to transform the way the world's products are made. Supply chains have been global for years, but finding the right manufacturer - and bringing a physical product to life - is incredibly difficult, even for the world's biggest brands.

Supplycompass help brands and manufacturers (in the fashion, homeware and furniture sectors) build faster, leaner and more responsible supply chains. Brands and manufacturers can connect instantly via our digital sourcing platform, and use our software to design their products and manage production through to delivery quicker than ever before.

With significant early traction, regular revenue and another investment round closing, we're building our in-house product & engineering team to be the heartbeat that drives the company forward.

**The role**

In short, to lead engineering at Supplycompass. This encompasses technology selection, long-term technology strategy, hiring, mentoring & team leadership.

More broadly, the CTO role will have a heavy influence in shaping our product development team, and sit alongside our two founders to help shape long-term strategy (if desired).

In short term, we'll also need the CTO to double up as the Lead Engineer, so recent (and extensive) experience of software development is a must.

**What we're looking for**

Strong background in technology selection & application design
Strong understanding of different software development practices & infrastructure, and how each can help ship more value to customers, quicker
Proven experience building & nurturing an engineering team
High standards, and the pragmatism to understand when to apply them
Happy to be hands-on whilst the engineering team grows (our stack is Ruby on Rails/React)
Startup/new product experience

**Benefits**

Salary: £70,000 to £100,000 with equity
Fast pace environment with lots of room for personal growth
A strong say in company strategy & operations
Great office culture
Fantastic opportunity to transform in one of the biggest industries in the world
Flexible working
