Head of Service - Safeguarding Review Teams - Start ASAP - South West England

My client is looking for an experienced candidate to take on a Head of Service role in the South West of England for a Safeguarding and Review service by a beach side location. The details of what the posts are for are as according below:

As the Head of Service for Safeguarding and Quality Assurance you would be at the heart of the drive to continually improve practice across Children's Services. You will also be part of the Children's Services Senior Management team who lead, manage and provide strategic direction to develop and deliver quality assurance.

Key services managed by this post include:

- Safeguarding and Reviewing Service (child protection conferences, LADO and IRO service)
- Quality Assurance
- Workforce Development
- LSCB Business Unit
- Principal Social worker

To support the authority as they move forward we are looking for an experienced manager with a proven track record of service delivery and improvement. Skills are required in supervising staff and managing complex and challenging situations. You will lead on shaping every aspect of the services you manage and drive the cultural change required to ensure not only the improved quality of services for children and families but also that it will be embedded and continue to improve.

This is a key role and you will need have the communication skills to forge positive, collaborative relationships with members of the wider Children's Services leadership team as well as corporate colleagues and across Education, Health, Police and other agencies.

In exchange they will offer a competitive day rate but also up to £150 per week accommodation allowance so that you won't have to pay to stay away.
