We have achieved success together time and time again The Role The Operational Excellence practice is a lead revenue-generator for the TORI business both in the UK and the US. The proposition is focused on helping clients optimise their operating models and ways of working through cost and efficiency gains, regulatory compliance, client centricity and people engagement. We adopt an end-to-end holistic approach, taking in to account customer journeys, business processes, technology and data architecture, supplier governance and service delivery models. TORI has a strong track record of working with some of the world's largest financial institutions and many of the Operational Excellence engagements are delivered on a risk/ reward outcomes-based approach. This role is to lead on the delivery and development of TORI's Operational Excellence proposition. Responsibilities include : As a senior member of the team the successful candidate will: Be responsible for solution development, showing a clear ability as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to enhance existing solutions, and develop new ones, with specific emphasis on Operations Transformation and Best Practice; Assume P&L responsibility with accountability for shaping and delivering Operational Excellence engagements across both the Banking and Wealth Management & Insurance verticals, globally; Drive revenue opportunities (£2 - £5m) through Business Development activities (70% utilisation) both within the Operational Excellence practice plus cross-Practice; Liaise with TORI's COO to ensure alignment and adherence to policies and procedures including Engagement Management and QA; Assume Delivery Lead and oversight role(s) for multiple client engagements (delivery utilisation 30%) Liaise with the Marketing function to shape and deliver Thought Leadership including the production of White Papers, web content, blogs, vlogs etc. as well as participating in industry events to raise the profile of the TORI brand; Proactively drive deeper and broader relationships with our clients, working closely with the Account Management function and other Practice Leads; Assume Line Management responsibility for senior staff including Head of Procurement and Supplier Governance; Support for building and maintaining High Performing Teams. People management, building a team of consultants with the right mix of grades, competencies and experience to support client opportunities and projected growth. The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience: Consulting background with a successful track record of Business Development for Financial Services In-depth experience gained in either a buy-side or sell-side institution with exposure to shaping and delivering significant programmes of Operational Change. Key areas of interest include operating model analysis and design to support Operations consolidation and integration, business divestment and sourcing, new product/market strategies Use and deployment of Managed Services In-depth understanding of the key industry, market and regulatory drivers shaping the industry and an ability to articulate these by way of client opportunities Product knowledge to include OTC derivatives, Fixed Income and Equities In-depth understanding of the pre and post-trade transaction value chain together with an appreciation of the threats and opportunities presented by market and regulatory change agendas Experience of process optimisation tooling and methodologies Drive innovation from market developments as they pertain to Operational Excellence and Procurement and Supplier Management Demonstrable expertise in building and leveraging relationships The ability to present to C-Level decision makers Experience of leading multiple, diverse and complex client programmes' and having accountability for managing resources, potential over-runs, billing, and recovery Experience in managing teams Strong interpersonal & written communication skills Self-starter and strong team player Business Development Leverage own network and work closely with Account Management to build lead generation and a qualified pipeline of sales opportunities through to closure and delivery. Responsible for all aspects of client engagement from pre-sales through sales, engagement, delivery and on-sell Support the development of go-to-market material Manage future-proofing of High-Value Propositions and drive development and maintenance of IP and Knowledge Management Drive cross-sell opportunities across TORI's practices and Clients Maintain complete, topical and accurate reporting within TORI's CRM tool Industry Recognition Drive TORI's engagement within the market, and recognition of TORI in this space, through the publication of White Papers, presenting at industry events, contribution to marketing collateral and other marketing initiatives Other Consulting experience demonstrated across multiple clients, desirable Ability to operate at C suite level Excellent relationship management skills Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) Lean / Six Sigma qualifications advantageous but not essential Career progression within TORI Global is our stated goal and longer-term targets will be established.
