CFO

“.....immediate start in this seven figure capital gain opportunity....”

Bristol commute                                                                                     Circa £160,000 + equity

With an International customer base, our client is a multi-sited B2B project management focused service proposition operating globally in a highly innovative and dynamic marketplace. With an enterprise value of circa £70M, they are entering a new phase of development with incumbent management seeking to transition to private equity ownership in a bid to fuel physical International expansion. With a target EV of £150M delivered via a mix of strategically focused M&A activity and organic account development, they seek to strengthen the MBO team with a commercially focused CFO to ensure delivery of their strategic ambitions.

Supporting the CEO, this is a commercially focused mandate that will contribute extensively to the strategic direction of the business. Functionally the brief requires the usual mix of financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, financial & project performance monitoring, contract negotiation, cash control, and systems development; beyond this is a significant requirement to take ownership of the growth piece by supporting the CEO and wider senior management with commercial evaluation of organic and M&A activity. So this role really does challenge you to extend your focus beyond your own financial function – internally that’s about demonstrating first hand your broader commercial skillset in support of peers; whilst externally the remit centres on liaison with banks, investors and intermediaries.

This is a dynamic executive role requiring a commercially focused, big 4 qualified accountant with Oxbridge credentials - a finance partner with highly developed skills in the evolution and implementation of intelligent processes and systems that deliver meaningful and trustworthy MI/reporting. Someone capable of providing intellectually sound guidance to the boardroom yet equally comfortable embedded in the day to day operational conversation with peers. Given the pace of expansion, an outstanding skillset within PE backed ventures where revenue is delivered through highly complex long term contracts is key; as is M&A exposure and competency in managing refinancing situations are critical elements required in the role.
