Finance Director

Hays Senior Finance is delighted to be working in partnership with Elite Group who are one of the leading sports merchandising suppliers in Europe. Supplying 65 football clubs with bespoke clothing and accessories whilst also being the official Hummel UK brand partner and operating retail outlets across several clubs. Sales have grown significantly from £3m in 2016 to £20m for 2019 so this rapid growth has resulted in the need for a full time Finance Director to be based at their newly renovated head office in Hatfield which is based in the stunning surroundings of Brookman’s Park.

As Finance Director you will be responsible for leading and managing the Group Financial function and be accountable for all Statutory and Stakeholder reporting. This is a key appointment and a pivotal role within the Leadership team.

Reporting and working closely with the Director of Strategy and Global Finance, including the Managing Director and Owner, you will lead and drive financial growth plans and manage all financial control processes across the organisation to ensure they are fit for purpose. You will get involved in the day-to-day operations as well as inspiring, mentoring, coaching and influencing others, to innovate and improve the financial processes to drive the Elite Group’s financial growth strategy.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant ACA/ACCA or CIMA with a significant PQE. You will be a finance professional with extensive leadership skills and have the drive and ambition to deliver great results. Above all you will have a strong degree of commercial acumen, with the ability to liaise with key stakeholders and create insightful financial information that will drive growth and business performance. You will have strong skills in strategic planning, monitoring and reporting on the delivery of plans and projects. You will be commercially aware and have the gravitas to win the respect and confidence of colleagues across the business.
