An experienced CFO is required for a PE backed SME delivering cutting-edge booking solutions to travel agents, tour operators and wholesalers. They have been operating for almost two decades and is widely recognised as one of the world's leading travel technology providers. Their comprehensive range of finely-tuned products helps their global client base - which spans more than 30 countries - to work smarter, improve their bottom line and enhance customer experience and retention. They are headquartered in Glasgow and have additional offices in London, Australia, USA and India. They are currently pursuing an aggressive global expansion strategy. The Position PositionChief Financial Officer Location:Glasgow, United Kingdom Position Summary: *The Chief Financial Officer will be a business partner of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will contribute significantly to the overall development and growth of the business. *There are specific short and medium term objectives which take precedence: oEnsuring that accounting and financial control processes and methodologies are in place that provide reliable information the business' needs and those of its investors. oTo provide rigorous financial analysis that helps to drive commercial value across the organisation. oLegal and Taxation controls are in place (relevant knowledge and experience required). oTreasury - particularly cash management. oM&A and other commercial activities in line with the investors' business case. Experience *Qualified accountant. *Experience as a Finance Director of a complex (international) business with full control over the entire finance function and a track record of delivering the above key requirements of the role. The successful candidate must possess a first-class background in accounting/financial control. *Experience of working in a leveraged business and with Private Equity investors. *Significant post qualification experience, preferably including international/cross border operations. *Experience of working within the Software sector would be a distinct benefit. *Experience of both 'academy' blue-chip businesses and entrepreneurial/start-up environments would give candidates a strong advantage, and allow them to transition more easily as the business grows. *Familiarity with software revenue recognition practices is desirable. *Direct experience of developing and growing businesses both organically and by acquisition. *Experience of M&A post acquisition integration. *Knowledge of the travel sector would be an advantage.
