This is an extremely exciting time to join HMRC as they undertake one of the most significant transformations to take place in Government, changing how and where they work, making use of new digital tools and consolidating a workforce into 13 regional centres and specialist sites spread across the UK.

The Customer Services Group within HMRC employs around 25,000 people, supporting all personal and business taxes across the UK and plays a key role in EU Exit activities.  At the heart of this national organisation is an ambition to drive continuous improvement, making this a great place to work for colleagues and delivering effective, value for money service. The Customer Services Group team delivers PAYE, Self-Assessment and National Insurance services to more than 40 million customers.

The Director of Personal Tax Operations will be responsible for developing a clear vision for the future service design of personal taxation, delivering improvements in both the short and the long term and ensuring the effective delivery of service within a complex, large scale, omni-channel environment.  Bringing together all of the services HMRC offer, you will be responsible for delivering a ‘right first time’ approach that will respond to customer queries in an efficient manner, recognising how customer behaviour, process design and customer communication can result in an increased level of customer satisfaction and cost efficiency.

You will possess deep expertise and experience in the transformation of complex, large-scale service delivery operations, gained within a customer-centric organisation. You will have a significant track record in the design and execution of business improvement initiatives that have been in response to the shifting needs of your customers. You will be an exceptional and empowering leader who can inspire their workforce, driving performance through influence, not metrics. You will have a proven ability to forge strong and effective relationships with peers and other senior stakeholders.

Green Park is the executive search partner for this appointment and will be managing the response.  For more information and how to apply please visit our microsite http://green-park-jobs.co.uk/HMRC/apply.php. For an informal discussion please contact Andrea Trainer or James Butler on 0203 145 3443.

The closing date for applications is midday, Monday 13th May.
